Peace Sign Over Eye Anime

Aiza idolized the young Kousei. He was like a superhero to him. Playing to perfection, just showing up to a recital and leaving as if he was never there in the first place. Aiza is shocked to see his idol play in such a fashion. The Kousei who would show up, destroy competitions, and then leave is now gone. Instead, there’s a unrefined Kousei who makes mistakes. Over the years, the gap between the two has closed, on top of Kousei losing the ability to play. For the first time, Aiza is seeing Kousei as a human, rather than someone who he could never reach.

With Hiroko around, we can finally get some insight on Kousei’s mother. His perspective might have been a bit warped because of his age. His mother seemed to be extremely protective of him, not wanting him to follow in her footsteps. It wasn’t until Hiroko pushed her to teach him where Kousei’s suffering began. She appears to have a bit of guilt for what she put him through, which is why she wants to continue to watch him grow.

Staying to hear the results was a real eye opener for Kousei. As a kid, he never cared for them, and even now, he’s not expecting any results. But seeing how important it is for the other participants was a huge deal. Some of these kids are completely ecstatic while others are crushed.

Seeing how emotional everyone was got to Kousei. All his life, people had called him a robot, a puppet and it got to the point where he accepted it. Playing on that stage again, he realizes that he’s not so different from everyone else. He feels the same disappointment, the same agony, the same joy as everyone else. Like everyone else, they have their motivations for pursuing what they love and he’s finally found his.

I’m growing increasingly concerned for Kaori’s future. As we move on, they drop small hints that her condition may not be the best. We already know she has an illness, but it seems like she stopped playing the violin for a period of time. It wasn’t until recently that she’s wanted to leave a lasting impression, thus picking it back up. Her final words as well, quoting Charlie Brown, makes me think that she’s fully aware of her situation.

The ending had to be one of the most beautiful scenes this year. Thanks to Kaori, Kousei has come such a long way. He never would have gotten back on the stage if it hadn’t been for her. Even before then, he would never admit his feelings to her as well. He was content with Watari stealing all of her attention, and just sitting on the sidelines. Rather than hesitating, he comes right out with it, he plays for her.

I'm a marketing student who got back into anime in 2012. I decided to start blogging as a way to improve my writing as well as my ability to express myself. I generally write whatever comes to mind as I'm watching anime!wiki says i'm correct (as far as their user content is concerned) - that it is one meaning of the V sign - victory being the big one of course

Why do people flash it? its prob just a cultural meme. i think its cute and i am not a weeaboo or whatever the fuck you call them

Post

The story is that this dates back to the Battle of Agincourt where the French Knights swore that they would cut off those two particular fingers of the English Longbowmen. After the battle when the flower of French chivalry had been destroyed by said bowmen, they flashed those two fingers to the french fleeing the scene, basically saying ef you, we still have them. I have heard that this is not a true story, but I will never let such a dreary fact destroy a wonderful story.

What Does The V Sign With Two Fingers Over One Eye Gesture Mean?

The Italian symbol is called the horns, so basically you have to point it at someone for it to be an insult. Putting the horns to someone is saying that you seduced the person's wife, so yes, it is a pretty big insult. In Latin culture the loss of honor involved is huge, so it is basically fighting words (Jorge Amado the great Brazilian novelist wrote a wonderful novel about civilization advancing past this point), in the UK and particularly the US it lost all meaning as was re-branded to rock on.

Edit: the peace sign in Japan is primarily an official photograph pose, so it appears nearly in every scene where a character is having their picture taken.

What

Nope, gestures don't just suddenly appear and have no meaning. The eye peace is a means of pretending that the eye had a sparkle (which is why in OreImou the song goes kira at that point), where as the peace sign means peace. Two totally different things.

When people say that opinions are equal, generally what they are saying is my ignorance is just as good as your fact, and that is very seldom the case.

It's a really popular thing over in Asian countries. I have a lot of friends from Taiwan and they seem to do it a lot in photos.

It means victory (as in I won! I conquered!) in most cultures, including Japan. That's not subjective; it's what it means. I believe this has been answered sufficiently.
