Once upon a time, two brothers passed the happy days of their childhood by studying alchemy, which is governed by the equal transfer principle: an eye for an eye -- you can't get more than you give. But these brothers tried to defy that law, and a horrific accident resulted. Now, the older brother, Edward, is called the Full Metal Alchemist because of his metal limbs, and the younger, Alphonse, is a soul without a body, trapped within the confines of an automaton. Together they search for the power to restore themselves, to find the lives they lost so long ago...
Both of these series are about two brothers with special powers that need to rely on each other to make their way in the world. Though the worlds they inhabit are very different, the relationships between the brothers are similar.

Both series are about brothers with supernatural powers and very intense fillings fore each other, who must deal not only with monsters or world, but also with their own weaknesses. Action in ‘Fullmetal alchemist' is faster and more spectacular, but both anime have a little melancholic aftertaste.
Nighthead Genesis (tv)
Both series are serious and rather gloomy at times, as you watch them time passes incredibly fast. They focus on both main characters - brothers. One of them is the strong, intelligent but rather hasty while the other is calm, thoughtfull and rather sensitive. There are many simiarities throughout the whole series. I think that if liked one, the other should be fun to watch too.
If you love how family love each other, then you will love this anime. Both stories show how far the older brother goes to protect and save the younger brother from danger and death. It shows that even through the thick and thin, family will always protect you, even at the cost of their own lives, and that shows the ultimate love one could have for another. The story, characters, and animation are terrific. Though they differ in a few areas in terms of genres. Fullmetal Alchemist is war based, while Night Head Genesis is mind based. But they do have their moments of violence, drama, horror and high stake games.
Tarou has dreams - distressing dreams, related to the trauma he suffered as a child. His dreams and visions disturb his ease of mind, constantly reminding him of the darkness of his fear at the time he lost his sister all those years ago. He relives the fear, but can't recall any of the details of the time. Now, a new transfer student, Masayuki, takes an interest in Tarou's troubled past, as well as their school mate Makoto's connection to the dark incident. Under his persistence, the three boys end up visiting the site where Tarou was held hostage as a child: a decrepit hospital beyond the dam. The three venture forward to face their pasts and fears, unsuspecting of the bizarre world they are about to enter...
Night Head Genesis Ep6 (eng Sub)
Mental powers are the topic in both anime. Not only that, obviouly, it takes deeper and deeper in HOW it is taken by people: the ones that have it, and the ones that are affected by them.
These both deal with boys who have painful pasts learning how to cope with life and supernatural powers. They have a similar dark feel throughout the anime and the endings also have a similar feel. Both deal with mysteries and the supernatural.
With otherwise normal characters apart from the supernatural powers they have, both series portray the lives on those who are different from society and in someways rejected by it because of this. The darkness of both series means that they share very similiar artistic styles. Well worth watching
Yesasia: Night Head Genesis (dvd) (collector's Edition) (taiwan Version) Dvd
A giant wall looms over Tokyo, shielding the city from a dangerous otherworld called the 'Hell's Gate'. Within the city, things are no less terrifying because Contractors, psychopathic killers with phenomenal powers, have started to appear. These killers are compelled to pay a price every time they use their powers, often in the form of a meaningless or painful task. As their deadly habits rack up a gruesome death toll, Kirihara Misaki and her team from the Foreign Affairs Public Security struggle to solve the cases and bring the Contractors under control. Their task is further confounded by the interference of a masked individual they title Messier Code BK201, a man with abilities that allow him to fight and defeat the Contractors. Who is this BK201? How can the Contractors be stopped permanently? And what does the appearance of the Hell's Gate mean for the people of Tokyo?

Superpowers, gloomy atmosphere, slow but well made storytelling, yeah both shows were quite good. Both shows have a handfull of characters with many kind of diffrent powers that makes the them so popular. I think that if you liked one you will like the other even more =).
Both Darker than black and Night Head Genesis deal with humans who have some kind of super-power, and use it in expectation of a foreseen end of the world. Heroes (or rather, super-heroes), are not the usual do-good-ers, and they don't even try to save civilisation as we know it.
Night Head Genesis (tv Series 2006)
Although the common ground of supernatural abilities applies in both of these series, the moving towards a goal of where the protagonists no longer are hunted because of what they are is another trait that is similiar in both series. Also, while the mystery surrounding the reasons behind the abilities is not fully described, both allow for the viewer to believe their own interpretations. Also, the matter of making a choice is ultimately a driving factor in both series.
Harry MacQuinn is a teenage loner. He's frightened of confrontation, is extremely awkward, is all but invisible at his school, and has no self-confidence; but there's one thing that makes him unique: Harry has telekinetic powers. After he haphazardly saves Catherine - a girl he has a crush on - from attackers, he unwittingly reveals his powers to her. And after his powers are seen on video, events unfold that bring to light an interest in Harry from a secretive organization, attention from the local police, and the most dangerous aspect of Harry's ability: every time he uses his powers, someone near him dies.

Both series are about teens with physic powers and goons after them. However, Night Head Genesis sourrounds two siblings, whereas, Sci Fi Harry concerns only one teen. The plot moves a little faster in Sci Fi Harry though.

Based off similar premises, Sci-Fi Harry and Night Head Genesis attempt to explore what happens when psychic powers are granted to humanity and how powerful people will always be interested to use and control these powers for their own ends, leaving a trail of human suffering behind them. Suffering are very strong themes in both shows, and they attempt to show what happens if people are left to suffer but also what they are capable of when feeling loved.
Shizuru and Mizuki are two quiet sisters who have a foot in the world of the supernatural. While Shizuru can see the spirits and monsters who haunt mankind, Mizuki can't help but become possessed by them. Together, the duo live with their grandparents and are taught about the spiritual world from their grandfather, a powerful exorcist. In the serene countryside, the girls will learn about the ghosts and goblins that co-exist in our world, while also learning about themselves and their abilities.
Night Head Genesis and Mokke are series that deal with children who possess inherently supernatural abilities. Both also tend to delve into their characters's pasts to note the trials that these powers bring. The difference between the two, however, is that Mokke structures itself as a coming-of-age story, while Night Head Genesis is a supernatural mystery/psychological thriller.

Night Head Genesis (tv Series 2006 2006)
Both anime involve two very close siblings who live in a world where they have psychic powers, and most people do not. They both go through the world learning new things with their abilities, while trying to understand the world and also know that not everyone believes in these abilities, or things from the other side.
The big difference is Mokke is a slice of life, while Night Head Genisis is more of a darker, thriller type anime.
Having recovered from a mysterious accident that caused him to suffer amnesia, Hashiba Sora is just starting to get his life back together. On the road to recovery, his steady progress is interrupted when he acquires a new roommate (who supposedly is his childhood friend), Fujimori Sunao. Their relationship becomes even more complicated with the appearance of Ran, an alternate personality inhabiting the same body as Sunao! Faced with the shadows of his past, can Sora regain his lost memories and make sense of what is happening around him?
Night Head Genesis The Complete Psychic Saga Blu Ray
Though Sukisho has more comedy, and Night Head Genesis is more of a drama, both of these anime tell the story of two people who develop a close bond because of the circumstances of their youth. As the back stories are revealed, we see the hardships that were faced,
